Understandably, many hundreds of people who worried and prayed for Meghan and her family over the past week are curious to know what happened to Meg and how she came home. While we are still gathering pieces of the story, and we want to protect the family as much as possible as they start to heal, we want to share the short version right now.
Last August, as Meghan was helping outat the county fair, she met a predatory young woman. This young woman planned to take Meg, and she and her friends cultivated Meg over a period of several weeks, drawing her into their activities until finally she was lured out last Sunday night and not allowed to return.
The predator played with Brenda, contacting her to lie about where Meg might be and who she might be with. Once the truth filtered through from other sources, Brenda lured Predator to their home, where the police were waiting. Another policeman followed tips to where Meg was and brought her home. Now the healing begins.

On behalf of Brenda and Tom, I’d like to thank everyone who has come out to support them during this time of unbelievable stress and worry.
Folks have brought them food, and are making them eat, which is critical right now. Friends have offered to put up posters, make calls, notify news outlets, legislators, and other government officials. I know that I haven’t covered all of the help that has been offered, but the point is that we are strengthened and buoyed by local offers of help and by prayers and well wishes from around the world, and it will keep us going until Meghan is safely home. Thank you.

Meghan is still missing, and we have no information on where she is at this point. Please help us to find her…information can be sent via the telephone numbers above or through this site. You can leave the information anonymously if you want. We just want Meghan at home and safe.
The Hawaii Attorney General’s Missing Child Center has issued a poster about Meghan. According to the Center, “This poster has been sent out statewide to our law enforcement contacts and our non law enforcement poster partners, which consist of businesses, establishments, and many types of organizations. It is also on our website and will be displayed on Oceanic’s digital cable channel 953, News on Demand.”
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Hawaii Attorney General and to our friend Linda who passed the information to the AG’s office.

Today Brenda, Tom (Meghan’s grandpa), and many of Meghan’s friends plastered Hilo and Kona with posters of Meghan. A little information has come in, but no one can tell us where Meghan is. We really need to know that Meghan is all right. Please, someone must know where she is. Feel free to contact Brenda through this site, to call her or the Hawaii police, and to leave an anonymous tip if that’s what you feel you need to do.
Thank you for your continued interest, well wishes, and prayers.

We have not heard from Meghan. The county police are involved, obviously, as is the Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
We are looking for more media interest in this story. Please contact us through the site for more information, or to suggest contacts we can work with.
Please keep those prayers coming! The messages of support mean more than Meghan’s family can say.
